Feeding the wolf

An old Cherokee Chief’s words of wisdom for his grandson, “My son, there is a battle between two wolves that rages within us all. One wolf is Evil. It is filled with anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, & ego. The other is a Good wolf. It is filled with joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth.”

After giving his grandfather’s words much thought the boy turned to his grandfather and asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins the battle?”

The old man faced the boy and quietly replied, “The one you feed my son.”
