The Day After 9/11

We’ve done much reflecting of what we were doing on 9/11 this weekend. The airwaves have been full of shows and events commemorating the 10 year anniversary.

But my thoughts are moving forward to tomorrow.

As my mom mentioned in church today, it was the life in the days after 9/11 that changed. Folks became friendlier, hugged more, kinder to others, more patriotic. I think that’s the seed of the 10 year anniversary that we need to recapture.

What did you do 10 years ago that you have already stopped doing?

Do you continue to wave the flag?
Talk to your neighbors?
Smile at a stranger?
Help someone with no regard to what you will get in return?
Did you put more God in your life then, but now have drifted away?

I encourage you, as an honor to those lives that were lost 10 years ago. Move forward. Recapture the spirit that was birthed in those days after the attacks.

Love Stronger.
Speak Kinder.
Hear more good.
See less bad.
Honor America.
