God, He Who Is
God, He Who Is.
I am a girl. I am a daughter. I am a woman. I am a wife. I am a mother. I am an employee. I am a Texan. I am an American. Finally, I am a grandma.
Those are statements that describe me.. But I didn’t begin as the description.
I became the description.
Through birth, time, patience, learning or other avenues of life’s journeys I transitioned into the role.
Yet God has always been.
God, He Who Is
When you read in Exodus 3:14 God answered Moses by saying “I AM” to describe himself. In Hebrew “AM” means come to pass or be. The Septuagint uses the phrase “He Who Is”
Since you can’t really grasp His description because you have to use words that are defined with human definition….
Maybe you have to use your ‘heart’ language in order to begin to scratch the surface of ‘understanding.’
While other beings ARE, HAVE BEEN or WILL BE….
God IS.
He Is I AM.
He Who Is.
Pray Sister Pray
When I started making the format for the Prayer Journal “Pray Sister Pray”, I included beginning the day by reflecting on God by using a word to describe Him.
What a wonderful way to begin your prayer time – focusing on God!
As an introduction to the interactive prayer journal, I would like to give you a One Day Sample! Please visit my page by clicking here. I would love to share it with you!
