Review of Barbara and Susan’s Guide to the Empty Nest: Discovering New Purpose, Passion, & Your Next Great Adventure

I actually discovered this book well after I had entered and maneuvered through the empty nest waters. But, that didn’t stop me from enjoying or finding value in it’s content.

I found it extremely encouraging and helpful to hear from two fellow empty nesters along with all the other women they quote in the book.  They too have survived the empty nest and are thriving during a new phase of their life.

Their simple statement in Chapter 1 says it best:

“We aren’t psychologists or counselors.  We’re two friends who simply who want to share what we’ve learned and what we’re still learning.  We want to give you hope for the future and challenge you to live out this season with new purpose and great adventure.”

Yes, I would say that they accomplish that goal with this book.
